Olivia DevonmilleOlivia Devonmille’s experience as a former Florida workers’ compensation judge gives her a unique perspective as a workers’ compensation lawyer who handles cases for injured workers. After representing employers and their insurance companies in disputed workers’ compensation claims during the early years of her career, Mrs. Devonmille was appointed by Governor Chiles to the position of Judge of Compensation Claims in 1992 and then reappointed to this position in 1996.

Mrs. Devonmille returned to the private practice of law in Vero Beach in 1997. During the next 10 years, she served as a mediator in several thousands of workers’ compensation cases. Since 2008, Mrs. Devonmille has concentrated her practice in the representation of injured persons, including those injured in workplace accidents, automobile accidents, and accidents at commercial premises. Mrs. Devonmille’s variety of experiences with workers’ compensation accidents prove invaluable when serving as an advocate for the injured worker and those injured through the fault of others.

Mrs. Devonmille is a lifelong resident of the Treasure Coast and is the descendant of one of the original founding families of St. Lucie County. After graduating from John Carroll High School in Fort Pierce, she attended Duke University where she was awarded a bachelor’s degree in Political Science in 1981. Mrs. Devonmille is a 1983 graduate of The Florida State University School of Law. She has been a member of The Florida Bar since 1984 and has served two terms on The Florida Bar’s Grievance Committee.
